01For Alaska Medicaid telehealth claims: Billing team must use modifier GT or 95 for live interactive services, GQ for store-and-forward, and FQ for audio-only services (effective 3/1/2022).
02Use place of service code 10 when patient is at home, code 02 when patient is elsewhere.
03Ensure telehealth services are limited to allowed categories (E&M, consultations, diagnostic services, psychiatric services, psychotherapy, pharmacological management) and avoid excluded services (home/community waiver, pharmacy, DME, transportation, etc.).
