Immediately: Billing team must update Alaska Medicaid telehealth claims to use correct place of service codes (02 for telehealth when patient not at home, 10 when patient at home) and required modifiers (GT or 95 for audio-video, GQ for store-and-forward, FQ and 93 for audio-only). Update documentation templates to capture telehealth modality, patient/provider locations, and consent. Do not use telehealth modifiers for CPT codes 98970-98972 and 99421-99423. Ensure Telemedicine Business Registry registration is current for applicable providers.
