Action Required
By July 1, 2020: Billing team must update system to recognize new COVID-19 codes U0001, U0002, U0003, U0004, 86328, 86769 for eligible provider types. Add prior authorization requirement for A7000 (temporarily lifted due to COVID-19) and 97763 for nursing facilities effective May 1, 2020. Remove prior authorization requirement for K0195-RR effective March 31, 2020. For non-emergency ambulance transports, ensure attending physician NPI is included in claims for interfacility hospital transfers and post-discharge transports.
