Summary
Beginning August 1, 2026, Synapse Health will manage DME ordering and fulfillment for Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNP) and Chronic Special Needs Plans (C-SNP) in Alabama, Arkansas, and South Carolina. DME prescribers must use the Synapse Health e-prescribing portal, and DME providers must join the Synapse Health network to continue providing standard DME services.
Action Required
Before August 1, 2026: DME prescribers must register for and begin using the Synapse Health e-prescribing portal for all DME orders. Contact Synapse Health for training at 888-336-9363 or schedule training on their website. DME providers must join the Synapse Health network by emailing JoinOurNetwork@synapsehealth.com. Failure to use proper ordering system may result in DME order delays or denials.
