Summary
Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) is adding 10 new procedure codes as valid encounter codes for FQHC and RHC claims, including retinal imaging, genetic counseling, and telehealth visits. The policy also removes 12 nationally deleted codes from the valid encounter list, with both changes applying retroactively to January 1, 2025.
Action Required
By July 28, 2025: FQHC and RHC billing teams must update billing systems to include the 10 new valid encounter codes (92137, 96041, 98000-98009, 98012-98013) for claims with dates of service January 1, 2025 and after. Remove the 12 deleted codes from billing systems. All claims must include T1015 or D9999 encounter code and meet FQHC/RHC billing requirements. Resubmit previously denied claims for these codes within 180 days, attaching first page of bulletin for claims beyond original filing limit.
