Summary
Effective August 1, 2026, all new Medi-Cal providers must complete onboarding training and submit an online attestation form through Health Net. Paper attestations will no longer be accepted. Failure to submit the online attestation may delay contract activation and result in regulatory compliance findings.
Action Required
By August 1, 2026: Billing team and credentialing staff must implement the following: (1) Direct all new Medi-Cal providers to complete the required onboarding training within 30 calendar days of contract activation. (2) Ensure each new provider submits an online attestation form via the Health Net Providers portal (Provider Training Webinars and Other Provider-Related Resources > New Providers Onboarding Materials > Health Net Medi-Cal New Provider Resources). (3) Gather required information before submission: provider full name, NPI, training completion date, and provider email address. (4) Stop accepting or processing paper attestations—online submission only. (5) Track submission dates to monitor compliance with the 30-day training window. Consequences: Failure to submit online attestation will delay Medi-Cal contract activation and may trigger regulatory compliance findings. Contact Health Net Provider Services Center at 800-675-6110 (or 844-966-0298 for behavioral health) for support.
