Summary

Effective August 1, 2026, Medi-Cal will no longer accept paper attestations for provider onboarding training. All new contracting physicians, practitioners, and other providers must complete required onboarding training and submit attestations exclusively through an online form accessible via the Health Net provider portal.

Action Required

Before Aug 1, 2026
By July 31, 2026: Billing and credentialing teams must ensure all new Medi-Cal providers complete onboarding training and submit online attestations before contract activation. Designate staff to access the Health Net provider portal (Provider Training Webinars > New Providers Onboarding Materials > Health Net Medi-Cal New Provider Resources > Attestation of New Provider Training form) and guide providers through the online submission process. Discontinue acceptance and processing of paper attestations immediately upon the effective date. Failure to submit online attestations will delay Medi-Cal contract activation. This applies to new contracting physicians, practitioners, participating physician groups (PPGs), hospitals, ancillary providers, and behavioral health providers in Amador, Calaveras, Inyo, Los Angeles, Mono, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tulare, and Tuolumne counties.
