What to do

Action · 4 steps
01Already effective October 1, 2024: Billing team: For Home Help personal care services, use procedure code T1019:CG, Personal Care Services, per one minute.
02Live-in caregivers must use EVV until their BPHASA-2421 attestation is approved, and a caregiver who has submitted it to the MDHHS adult services worker is exempt until a determination is made.
03Provider agencies must complete the initial set-up in the HHAeXchange system to show the beneficiary has an approved live-in caregiver exemption, entering the live-in caregiver as a Residing Caregiver.
04If a caregiver does not submit renewal documentation, services must not be delayed; the caregiver is no longer exempt, has thirty days to get set up with EVV, and must use EVV after that grace period.
