Summary
Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) is implementing major security changes to their web portal: structured security questions replace free-form questions effective May 13, 2026, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) becomes available June 2, 2026 with mandatory compliance date to be announced soon.
Action Required
By May 13, 2026: All Master Users and Clerks must update their security questions using the new structured drop-down format in Account Maintenance. By June 2, 2026: Enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication using either an authenticator app or email verification - setup is optional initially but will become mandatory (date TBA). IT staff should prepare for MFA requirements for portal login, password changes, and EFT updates.
