Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs bulletin BT202437, issued March 28, 2024, gives coverage information for the new codes in the April 2024 quarterly HCPCS update, and each code is marked covered or noncovered by the IHCP. The coverage information in Table 1 applies to dates of service on or after April 1, 2024, and the IHCP says it is awaiting the final CMS posting of fee schedules and documentation affecting coverage and pricing for these codes. 01Already effective April 1, 2024 for dates of service on or after that date: Table 1 marks each new code as covered or noncovered for the IHCP.
02Covered means the service is covered under Traditional Medicaid and other IHCP programs that include full Medicaid State Plan benefits, and the service may not be covered under IHCP plans with limited benefits.
03Noncovered means the IHCP does not cover the service for any programs.
04Send fee-for-service coverage questions to Gainwell Technologies at 800-457-4584 and send managed care coverage questions to the managed care entity the member is enrolled with.
05The covered codes will be added to the claim-processing system.
06Watch for the IHCP's forthcoming publication with additional coverage and pricing information, which the IHCP says it will issue after final review.
