Summary
IHCP (Indiana Health Coverage Programs) has removed coverage for 10 COVID-19 antibody treatment procedure codes effective December 13, 2024, following FDA revocation of Emergency Use Authorization. Claims with these codes will be recouped if already paid.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must stop submitting claims for the 10 COVID-19 antibody treatment codes (M0220, M0221, M0240, M0241, M0243, M0244, Q0220, Q0221, Q0240, Q0243, Q0244) for Indiana Medicaid patients with dates of service on or after December 13, 2024. Update billing system to flag these codes as non-covered. Review remittance advices starting April 16, 2025 for reprocessed claims with ICNs beginning with 52 or 80, as previously paid claims will be recouped.
