Update billing software to flag claims with ICD-10 codes R05.1, R05.9, R06.00, or R06.9 when associated with wheeze detection device procedures—these will not be reimbursable. Inform pulmonology, pediatrics, and critical care providers that PulmoTrack, Personal Wheezometer, and VRIxp devices are not covered by Aetna and patient may be balance-billed. No prior authorization is needed because the service is non-covered; however, inform patients in writing before service delivery per Aetna requirements to avoid liability.
