Front desk and provider staff must flag patient charts for these treatments as non-covered before scheduling or administering services. Implement pre-service notification requirements to inform patients in writing of non-coverage status and obtain signed acknowledgment. Update EMR templates and encounter forms to include warnings for providers ordering these vaccines. Deny claims with reason code indicating experimental/investigational status per policy CPB 0557. Document all denials and track for patient appeals.
