Summary
Indiana Medicaid corrected a system error and added 6 Money Follows the Person (MFP) waiver services to their fee-for-service claim processing system, effective retroactively to January 1, 2026. Providers can now submit or resubmit claims for these behavioral management, employment support, and benefits counseling services within 180 days of June 9, 2026.
Action Required
By December 6, 2026: Billing team should review claims for MFP waiver services with codes H0004, T2025, and T2040 denied since January 1, 2026, and resubmit with appropriate modifier combinations (U7, U5, UA, UB, UC as specified). Include first page of bulletin BT202696 when submitting claims beyond standard filing limit. Update billing system to recognize these code/modifier combinations for MFP CIH, H&W, and PathWays waiver patients.
