Summary

IHCP requires all Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agencies to obtain accreditation from ACQ or BHCOE. Currently enrolled ABA providers must submit documentation of accreditation initiation by August 1, 2026, and must complete full accreditation by October 1, 2027, or their IHCP enrollment will be deactivated.

Action Required

Before Oct 1, 2027
By August 1, 2026: ABA provider must submit documentation to INXIXabaenrollments@gainwelltechnologies.com proving accreditation process has been initiated with either ACQ or BHCOE. Alternatively, upload existing accreditation documentation through IHCP Provider Healthcare Portal as a provider maintenance update. By October 1, 2027: ABA provider must have completed accreditation and maintain active accreditation status. Failure to submit documentation by August 1, 2026, will result in immediate enrollment deactivation. Failure to achieve active accreditation by October 1, 2027, will result in enrollment termination. Billing/compliance team should: (1) verify your ABA agency's accreditation status immediately, (2) identify which accrediting body (ACQ or BHCOE) you will pursue, (3) ensure documentation is submitted by the August 1, 2026 deadline, (4) track accreditation completion timeline to meet October 1, 2027 requirement.
