Summary

Nevada Medicaid now allows Rural Health Clinics and Federally Qualified Health Centers to bill separately for Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) devices and services under Fee-for-Service instead of bundled PPS rates. These providers can now bill specific CPT and HCPCS codes for IUD and contraceptive implant insertion, removal, and the devices themselves.

Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Nevada RHCs and FQHCs (Provider Type 17, Specialties 180 and 181) should update billing systems to bill LARC procedure codes 58300, 58301, 11981, 11982, 11983 and device codes J7296-J7301, J7307 separately from PPS encounter rates.
