Summary
Illinois MMAI plans are transitioning to Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (FIDE SNPs) effective January 1, 2026. Providers must establish contracts with the new FIDE SNP plans (Aetna, Humana, Meridian/Wellcare, Molina) as Blue Cross Blue Shield was not selected and will no longer serve dual eligible members.
Action Required
Before January 1, 2026: Billing team must establish contracts with all selected FIDE SNP plans (Aetna, Humana, Meridian/Wellcare, Molina) to continue serving dual eligible members. Contact current affiliated MMAI plans for FIDE SNP contracting questions. Update billing system to recognize new plan names and member IDs. Verify patient eligibility will change from MMAI to FIDE SNP coverage. Claims for dual eligible members without proper FIDE SNP contracts will be denied after the transition date.
