Summary
Michigan Medicaid will cover USPSTF grade A and B preventive services and ACIP-recommended adult vaccines with no patient cost-sharing. Preventive medicine evaluation and management visits (CPT 99381-99397) will also have no beneficiary cost-sharing requirements.
Action Required
By July 1, 2017: Billing team must update Michigan Medicaid claims to use appropriate ICD diagnosis codes for USPSTF preventive services and include HCPCS Modifier 33 for preventive services. Remove any cost-sharing requirements for CPT codes 99381-99397 and USPSTF grade A/B services for Michigan Medicaid patients.
