Summary
Michigan Medicaid will begin enrolling and reimbursing Portable X-ray Suppliers (PXRS) and Independent Diagnostic Testing Facilities (IDTF) for covered services. Providers offering these services must be enrolled in Medicare first, then re-enroll in Michigan's CHAMPS system as the appropriate specialty type.
Action Required
By March 1, 2020: Providers operating as PXRS or IDTF must re-enroll in Michigan CHAMPS system as appropriate specialty type within 6 months of effective date. Submit requests via fax to 517-241-8233 or email to providerenrollment@michigan.gov. Billing team must ensure Medicare enrollment is completed before applying to Michigan Medicaid. Update billing procedures to use proper HCPCS codes R0070, R0075, Q0092 with appropriate modifiers for portable x-ray services.
