Summary
BCBSMS considers microarray-based gene expression profile (GEP) testing for multiple myeloma investigational for all indications. The policy states that further study is needed to confirm that GEP analysis can perform its proposed roles of personalizing therapy selection and avoiding over- or under-treating patients. The 04/21/2026 update removed information about the MyPRS and MyPRS Plus GEP70 test from the policy description, and the policy statement was unchanged.
