Summary
Starting April 21, 2026, FQHCs and RHCs must use new tracking codes (0500F, 0502F, 0503F) when billing CCOs for individual obstetric visits within global OB procedure codes. CCOs will pay these tracking codes at $0.00 to ensure proper encounter data for wraparound payments.
Action Required
By April 21, 2026: FQHCs and RHCs must update billing systems to include tracking codes 0500F (initial prenatal visit), 0502F (subsequent prenatal care), and 0503F (postpartum visit) when billing CCOs for obstetric services under global codes 59400, 59425, 59426, 59410, and 59430. For retroactive claims from October 1, 2024 through April 20, 2026: Bill any missing 0500F, 0502F, or 0503F codes for past dates of service. Failure to use these codes will prevent supplemental wraparound payments.
