Summary
Connecticut Medicaid added new COPE/Confident Caregiver services for dementia and chronic illness caregivers, effective October 1, 2024. Only licensed Home Health Agencies can bill these services using codes S0274 (RN) and S5108 (OT) at $31.16 per 15 minutes through June 30, 2025, then reducing to $28.33.

Home Health Agencies only: Contact DSSCOPECAPABLEattestation@ct.gov to initiate credentialing process. Complete Drexel University training certification for OT and RN staff. Upload signed attestation letter to secure web portal. Enter new codes S0274 and S5108 in billing system with rates $31.16/15min through 6/30/2025, then $28.33/15min. Ensure V1 modifier is used for claims through 6/30/2025. Obtain prior authorization for all services before billing.
