01REQUIREMENTS:
- Immediately: Billing team and pharmacy staff must update all billing systems and pharmacy management software to recognize the 16 newly added manufacturers: Blaine Company Inc, Konsyl Pharmaceuticals Inc, Obetrol Pharmaceuticals, Rexar Pharmacal Corporation, Landry Pharmaceuticals Inc, Perry Medical Hall Labs, Hermal Pharmaceutical Labs, American Dermal Corporation, Clinical Pharmaceutical Inc, Johnson Laboratories Inc, Scandipharm Inc, American Pharmaceuticals, Martin Ekwealor Pharmaceuticals Inc, American Generics Inc, Reliable Drugs, and MediPlex Pharmaceuticals Inc as eligible for New Jersey Medicaid reimbursement.
02- Immediately: Remove the three deleted manufacturers (Cord Laboratories, Hydromagint Inc, Ross Laboratories) from the system as non-reimbursable for New Jersey Medicaid.
03- Before processing next batch of claims: Verify that pharmacy billing software contains the revised Manufacturers Labeler Code List referenced in the newsletter (discard any prior dated versions).
04- Communicate change to all pharmacy providers and dispensing staff to ensure they understand which manufacturers are now covered and which are no longer reimbursable.
05- Consequences: Claims submitted for deleted manufacturers will be denied; claims for newly added manufacturers may be rejected if system is not updated.
