01Laboratory billing teams must update billing systems to use new HCPCS codes (83880, 84302, 85004, etc.) for services on/after January 1, 2003 and stop using deleted codes (80090, 85021, 85022, etc.) for services on/after May 1, 2003.

03Claims submitted with deleted codes after May 1 will be rejected.
