Summary
Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) is adding 16 new procedure codes as valid FQHC and RHC encounter codes effective July 1, 2021, retroactive to January 1, 2021, and removing 2 nationally deleted codes. Previously denied claims for the new codes can be resubmitted within 180 days of the bulletin publication date.
Action Required
By December 1, 2021: FQHC and RHC billing teams must update billing systems to include the 16 new valid encounter codes for claims with dates of service January 1, 2021 and after. Resubmit any previously denied claims for these codes within 180 days of June 3, 2021 publication date, attaching a copy of bulletin BT202141. Remove codes 99201 and D3427 from valid encounter code lists for dates of service after December 31, 2020.
