Summary

Action Required
Immediately: Speech language pathology providers must update billing processes for non-dedicated SGDs using codes E2510, E2511, E2599 with TW modifier at $0 billed amount (MassHealth purchases devices directly). DME providers continue current processes for dedicated SGDs. Ensure prior authorization submissions go through correct channels - TPA process for non-dedicated devices, MCE plans for dedicated devices. Update documentation requirements per new AAC Medical Necessity Guidelines.
