Summary
Effective November 1, 2026, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will update the Medi-Cal List of Contracted Incontinence Creams and Washes based on an annual review. By October 31, 2026: Billing team must obtain and review the updated Medi-Cal List of Contracted Incontinence Creams and Washes when released. Verify that incontinence cream and wash claims for fee-for-service Medi-Cal members (only) reference contracted products on the updated list. For Medi-Cal managed care claims, continue verifying coverage against individual plan formularies. Failure to bill only contracted products for fee-for-service Medi-Cal may result in claim denials or claim adjustments.
