Summary
Health Net requires ancillary providers to promptly notify them in writing of any changes to ownership, TIN, NPI, business name, address, location, phone number, or other contracting information. Failure to report these changes will result in claims being denied, processed out-of-network, or delayed until records are updated.
Action Required
Immediately: All ancillary providers must establish an internal process to notify Health Net of any provider information changes. (1) For ownership changes, TIN changes, NPI changes, or business name changes: Submit written notification to Health Net's Contracting Department via email with required regulatory documentation. (2) For address, phone number, or demographic changes only: Contact your assigned Provider Engagement representative or call the Health Net Provider Services Center. (3) Billing team must flag any provider information updates in the system and trigger appropriate notification workflows to prevent claim denials. Failure to notify Health Net will result in claims being denied, processed as out-of-network, or delayed until records are corrected. Document all notifications sent for compliance purposes.
