Summary
Health Net now requires ancillary providers to promptly notify them in writing of any changes affecting provider records or contracting information, including ownership changes, TIN/NPI updates, business name changes, address changes, site additions/closures, and phone number changes. Failure to notify Health Net will result in claims being denied, processed as out-of-network, or delayed until records are updated.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team and practice management must establish a process to identify and report all provider information changes to Health Net within a timely manner. For changes affecting the Provider Participation Agreement (ownership, TIN, NPI, business name), send written notification by email to Health Net's Contracting Department with required documentation. For demographic changes only (address, phone, other non-PPA changes), contact your Provider Engagement representative or call CalViva Health at 888-893-1569. For Behavioral Health providers, call 844-966-0298. Create an internal checklist of reportable changes and assign responsibility for monitoring and reporting. Document all notifications sent to Health Net. Failure to report changes will result in claim denials, out-of-network processing, and payment delays.
