Summary
IHCP corrected a system error that was incorrectly denying office visit E&M codes (99202-99205, 99211-99215) when billed with modifier FP for family planning services for dates of service October 1, 2024 and after. Claims will be automatically reprocessed starting April 15, 2026, or providers can resubmit with this bulletin attached.
Action Required
By September 13, 2026: Monitor remittance advices starting April 15, 2026 for automatic reprocessing with ICNs beginning with 52 or 80. For any missed claims, billing team can resubmit E&M codes 99202-99215 with modifier FP for family planning services from October 1, 2024 forward, attaching page 1 of this bulletin for claims beyond original filing limits. Ensure billing system allows modifier FP with these E&M codes for Family Planning Eligibility Program members.
