Summary
South Carolina Medicaid is adding coverage for Intercept, an evidence-based intensive in-home behavioral health service for at-risk youth ages up to 20, effective August 1, 2026. (3) Providers interested in delivering Intercept services must enroll as Healthy Connections Medicaid providers through SCDHHS and obtain Youth Villages licensure and training before service delivery. (4) Review RBHS Provider Manual (updated by Aug 1, 2026) for complete enrollment and fidelity requirements. (5) Billing team should contact Provider Service Center at (888) 289-0709 or MedicaidStatePlan@scdhhs.gov with enrollment or billing questions. Failure to properly configure service limits and prior authorization thresholds will result in claim denials for services exceeding 48 encounters without required documentation.
