Summary
Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) is migrating all provider portal functions from NaviNet to Availity Essentials, with exclusive access through Availity Essentials beginning January 1, 2026. All GHP functions (claims status, eligibility, PCP inquiries, HEDIS dashboards) will move to the new platform, though secure messaging will not be immediately available. Your organization must register with Availity Essentials and designate an administrator before the deadline.
Action Required
By December 31, 2025: (1) Designate an Availity Essentials administrator with legal authority to sign agreements on behalf of your organization. (2) Complete full registration with Availity Essentials at https://www.availity.com. (3) Billing team and administrative staff must transition all GHP claims status inquiries, eligibility verification, and claims research from NaviNet to Availity Essentials. (4) Update internal workflows and staff training materials to reflect new portal location. (5) Attend optional training sessions (Dec 9, 2025 or Jan 8, 2026) to familiarize team with new platform functionality. Failure to register and migrate by January 1, 2026 will result in loss of access to GHP provider portal functions, blocking claims status checks, eligibility verification, and member benefits inquiry.
