Summary
Effective immediately, procedure code T2024 (Reentry Care Plan) for Justice-Involved reentry initiatives must be billed using "from-through" date format, with the "from" date as the day prior to service completion and "through" date as the completion date. Claims not following this format will be denied with RAD code 0394. Additionally, T2024 may only be billed once per member per episode of incarceration.

Specifically: (1) Configure system to require two date fields (from and through) for T2024 claims, with from date set to one day prior to service completion date; (2) Update claim validation rules to reject single-date submissions with RAD code 0394 notification; (3) Train billing staff on correct format and one-claim-per-member-per-episode limitation; (4) For UB-04 paper submissions, ensure revenue code is included with one unit of service and total charges; (5) For EDI submissions, follow UB-04 EDI specifications for from-through billing. Communicate updated instructions to all correctional facility providers. Failure to use correct format will result in automatic claim denials.
