Summary
Tango (a third-party administrator) now manages referrals, prior authorizations, and claims processing for home health care services under Medicare Advantage plans (Medicare Plus Blue and BCN Advantage) effective March 1, 2026. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network are hosting a final Q&A session on July 15, 2026, and providers must transition to the tango operation model using the ProNet Connect provider portal.
Action Required
By March 1, 2026: Billing and clinical staff must register with tango's ProNet Connect provider portal and complete self-paced home health agency training. Before March 1, 2026: Update all home health referral and authorization workflows to route through tango instead of direct Blue Cross/BCN processing. Establish internal procedures to track tango prior authorization numbers and claim submission requirements. Attend the July 15, 2026 Q&A session (final opportunity) or review recorded training materials. Contact tango through the Provider Resource Center for technical support. Failure to transition to tango workflows by the effective date will result in claim denials and disruption of home health referrals for Medicare Advantage members.
