Summary
Legacy Health has returned to in-network status for Regence health plan members in Oregon and Southwest Washington effective immediately (as of May 6, 2026). All claims from Legacy Health providers during the out-of-network period will be reprocessed as in-network. Billing teams must update provider directories and ensure claims are submitted with in-network status going forward.
Action Required
Immediately: (1) Billing team must update all billing software and systems to reflect Legacy Health providers as in-network for Regence plans in Oregon and Washington. (2) Remove any out-of-network modifiers or indicators for Legacy Health claims going forward. (3) Search billing system for any pending or recently submitted Legacy Health claims from the out-of-network period and flag them for reprocessing as in-network claims—do not resubmit without verification to avoid duplicate billing. (4) Update provider directories and credentialing records to show Legacy Health as in-network. (5) Notify providers and front desk staff that Legacy Health is restored to network status to prevent billing errors. (6) If patients were balance-billed or charged higher out-of-network costs during the termination period, coordinate with billing management to identify affected claims and process refunds per member benefit agreements. Failure to update systems may result in claims being denied or underpaid as out-of-network.
