Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Billing team must verify all ordering/referring providers are enrolled in Alaska Medicaid before submitting claims. Update claim submission workflow to include ordering provider NPI in appropriate fields. Ensure all orders contain required elements: member name/DOB, order date, provider name/signature/credentials, provider NPI, service description, clinical justification, and quantity/frequency. Contact Provider Inquiry at 907-644-6800 if enrollment questions arise. Claims will be denied if ordering providers are not actively enrolled.
