Summary
Iowa Medicaid is adding DentaQuest as a second dental plan alongside Delta Dental of Iowa for Dental Wellness Plan and Hawki members effective July 1, 2026. Dental providers must be enrolled with Iowa Medicaid first, then contract directly with either or both dental plans to continue serving these patients.
Action Required
Before July 1, 2026: Dental providers must first ensure Iowa Medicaid enrollment is current by contacting 1-800-338-7909. Then contract directly with Delta Dental of Iowa (1-888-472-1205) and/or DentaQuest (1-866-515-6981) to continue serving DWP and Hawki members. Attend plan-specific training sessions offered by both organizations. Medical providers are not affected and do not need to contract with these dental plans.
