Summary

By December 31, 2023: Billing team must update all billing system fee schedules to reflect the new 8% increased rates for all Brain Injury Waiver codes (W0037-W0061). Update rate tables in: billing software, claim submission systems, encounter forms, and provider rate reference documents. Verify that the system will automatically apply new rates to claims dated on or after January 1, 2024. Test system changes before the effective date to ensure correct billing. Communicate updated rates to all clinical staff and providers who may reference fee schedules. Failure to update rates may result in underbilling and revenue loss.
