Summary
Michigan Medicaid Provider Manual updated with new HCPCS codes Q4186, Q4187, and J2062 now covered retroactively from January 1, 2019. HCPCS Q2042 requires prior authorization, and Healthy Michigan Plan will implement work requirements starting January 2020.
Action Required
Immediately: Update billing system to include newly covered HCPCS codes Q4186, Q4187 (for physicians, nurse practitioners, podiatry, oral maxillofacial surgeons, FQHCs, RHCs, tribal health centers) and J2062 (for FQHCs, RHCs, tribal health centers only) with retroactive coverage to January 1, 2019. Configure system to require prior authorization for HCPCS Q2041 and Q2042. Rebill any previously denied claims for these codes with dates of service on or after January 1, 2019.
