Action Required
By September 1, 2024: Providers interested in Recuperative Care services must enroll as Medicaid providers through CHAMPS, obtain Type 2 NPI, meet NIMRC standards, and complete attestation form BPHASA-2428. Billing team must establish workflow to obtain mandatory prior authorization by calling 844-732-8764 before providing services using codes G9002 (care coordination) and S9976 (room & board). Complete form BPHASA-2427 and maintain required documentation for each beneficiary. Claims will not be reimbursed without proper prior authorization.
