This is a current BCBS MS policy for Wide Abdominoplasty Rectus Plication (WARP) that covers the procedure only when medically necessary for treating abdominal wall hernias with proper clinical documentation. The procedure is not covered for cosmetic purposes or for treating panniculus, intertrigo, or diastasis recti.

Billing team should review current WARP procedures to ensure proper hernia diagnosis codes (K40-K46 ranges) are used and clinical documentation includes confirmation of hernia presence and size via examination, ultrasound, or CT abdomen.
