Summary
Connecticut Medicaid is updating the Independent Audiology and Speech Language Pathology fee schedule effective January 1, 2026, replacing old codes with new HCPCS codes for hearing aid evaluations and post-fitting services. Four new codes (92628, 92629, 92636, 92637) will replace three deleted codes (V5010, 92592, 92593).
Action Required
By January 1, 2026: Billing team must update system to replace deleted codes V5010, 92592, and 92593 with new codes 92628, 92629, 92636, and 92637 for Connecticut Medicaid audiology and speech pathology services. Important: Do not bill codes 92636 and 92637 within the first year of hearing aid service as these are included in the dispensing fee. Update encounter forms and train providers on the new coding requirements.
