Summary
New Jersey is postponing the implementation of $50,000 surety bond and full disclosure of ownership requirements for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) providers. These requirements, originally set to begin January 1, 1999, are now suspended pending final decision from the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA). The state will re-implement these requirements following HCFA's final agency decision, anticipated during calendar year 1999.

02Do NOT submit these requirements for claims with service dates on or after January 1, 1999, as the state has postponed enforcement pending HCFA guidance.
