Summary
New Jersey Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare is implementing NJ InCK services for pediatric beneficiaries (20 years or younger) in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Two new billable services are available: interpretation of needs assessment tool (must be co-billed with office visits) and care coordination for high-risk children.
Action Required
For pediatric practices in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, NJ: Implement billing for NJ InCK needs assessment interpretation service when co-billing with well-child visits (99381-99385, 99391-99395) or E&M visits (99201-99205, 99211-99215). Update billing system to track that this service can be billed up to twice per calendar year (additional times for children under 36 months or those assigned to Service Integration Level 3).
