Summary

CareSource has updated dental coverage policies for Georgia Medicaid through its partnership with Skygen, effective November 1, 2025. This is a corrected revision of an October 1, 2025 notification that contained errors; the clinical criteria have been revised with accurate information. Dental practices in Georgia must verify all affected procedure codes against the updated Skygen policies in the DentalHub portal.

Action Required

Action needed
By October 31, 2025: Billing team and dental providers must access https://www.dentalhub.com/ and verify all affected procedure codes (D-codes listed in this bulletin) against the updated clinical criteria, as this is a corrected revision with accurate information replacing the erroneous October 1, 2025 version. Update internal billing systems, claim submission templates, and provider reference materials to reflect the corrected policies. Do NOT use the old October notification. Training may be required for dental coding and billing staff on any specific coverage changes to these 61 procedure codes. Verify prior authorization requirements for each code in DentalHub before submitting claims on or after November 1, 2025. Claims submitted with incorrect procedures or missing updated authorizations may be denied.
