[Georgia] Lymphedema Compression Treatment Items Claims Editing Enhancements

By February 24, 2026: Billing team must implement the following updates in the billing system and provider documentation: (1) Configure system edits to require appropriate lymphedema diagnosis codes when billing any HCPCS A6520-A6610 compression treatment items; (2) Add requirement for RT (right side) or LT (left side) modifiers on all lymphedema compression claims to indicate treatment laterality; (3) Update provider encounter forms and billing guidelines to remind providers of these requirements. Providers should be notified immediately via staff training. Claims submitted without appropriate diagnosis codes or laterality modifiers will be denied by CareSource beginning February 24, 2026.
