MSA 20-14
Reported as already effective in the historical source during the COVID-19 emergency, MDHHS waives quantity limits, prior authorization and documentation requirements for respiratory equipment and supplies, such as ventilators, suction catheters and oxygen, and for medical supplies typically received through home delivery, such as diabetic supplies, incontinence supplies and enteral formulas, including the HCPCS codes in Attachment A. MDHHS also adds coverage of surgical masks (A4928), hand sanitizer (A9286) and patient gowns (E1399), and it encourages telemedicine to meet ACA durable medical equipment face-to-face requirements. This guidance remains in effect for 30 days after the Governor's Declaration of a State Emergency Order (2020-04, COVID-19) terminates, or on the first of the following month, whichever is later.
