The policy also covers middle fossa craniotomy and trans-mastoid canal plugging for superior semicircular canal dehiscence when audiometry and computed tomography confirm the diagnosis, and intra-tympanic or trans-tympanic dexamethasone injection for sudden sensorineural hearing loss in members who failed conservative treatment including oral steroids or who have a medical condition that prohibits oral steroids.
