Summary
Effective January 1, 2024, Maryland Medical Assistance Program is increasing the Medical Day Care Services per diem rate for procedure code S5102 by 8 percent to $113.19. This statutory increase applies to services rendered under COMAR 10.09.07. Providers may begin billing the new rate for services provided on or after January 1, 2024.
Action Required
By December 31, 2023: Billing team must update the rate table in the billing system to reflect the new S5102 rate of $113.19 per diem for Maryland Medicaid claims. Verify that the system is configured to apply the old rate ($104.80 or previous rate) for services prior to January 1, 2024, and the new rate for January 1, 2024 forward.
