Summary

Oregon Health Authority is proposing to increase Medicaid reimbursement rates for client and attendant travel expenses (mileage, meals, lodging) for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). The proposed rates would be 50% of IRS rates for meals, 75% for mileage, and 100% for lodging.

By February 3, 2023: If your practice provides NEMT services or bills for patient travel expenses in Oregon, review the proposed rate changes and submit comments to jesse.anderson@dhsoha.state.or.us if desired. Monitor for final implementation to update billing rates for codes A0190, A0210, A0090, A0180, and A0200.
